Young Authors Greenhouse

Throughout each program students grow their unique voice, creativity, and confidence! 

Our young authors. . . .  

1. develop the habit of writing in community with their peers,
2. become a part of current event, art, and cultural conversations outside their classroom, 
3. have fun, imagine, and write their own story.

All programs have teams of dedicated volunteers sitting one-on-one or in small groups with students to give individualized support. (Writing cheerleaders; not critics!)

Our young authors are published in books, albums, posters, college application essays, and are featured in book reading events because we believe it is important to take their words seriously.

Young Authors Greenhouse is a nonprofit organization in Louisville for students ages 6-18 with a mission to inspire young people to recognize the power of their voices and stories.
