Good morning, afternoon, or evening. I hope you and your family are doing well.

As you may know, I volunteer to serve with the ladies at the KY Correctional Institute for Women in Pewee Valley.  A few years ago, one of the ladies in my support group was up for parole but had nowhere to go after release and no way to get to her family in eastern Kentucky.  After exhausting all the known resources with no results, a fellow volunteer suggested I contact Darryll Davis, at the Prisoner’s Hope Ministry for assistance.

My friend and I met with Darryll Davis, he and The Prisoner’s Hope Ministry staff not only found transitional housing for my mentee but paid her 1st month's rent.  The Prisoner’s Hope staff met the young lady at the prison front door to transport her to the transitional housing facility.

But wait, there is still more. The Prisoner’s Hope also provided her with clothing, bedding, towels, shoes, and a cell phone with a pre-paid phone card.  Once her immediate needs were met TPH helped her obtain proper identification and found her employment.

Today, the young lady is doing well, driving her own car, and has created a home for herself and her son.  You can read all about this young lady in The Prison’s Hope ministry Annual Report.

Hebrews 13:3

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

Thank you for sharing your time with me.

We are always looking for support whether through volunteer efforts or financial contributions are always well received.  A perfect time to donate financially is for Louisville's Biggest day of Giving, Thursday September 12th. Please visit us at our website ThePrisonersHope.Org to learn more.
