Support Sandra Johnson’s Mission for Change

Growing up in a household overshadowed by alcoholism and domestic abuse, my childhood was far from carefree. My father’s addiction often turned our home into a battleground, leaving deep scars but also igniting a spark of resilience within me.

Despite the chaos, I found solace in small moments of peace and the support of a few close friends and family members. These glimpses of kindness guided me through the toughest times. As I grew older, I realized my experiences had shaped me into a survivor with a profound understanding of the struggles faced by others in similar situations.

Today, I stand before you as a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of support.  I am committed to raising awareness and funds to support organizations that provide crucial resources and safe havens for survivors.

The Center for Women and Families provides trauma-informed advocacy and support for individuals, families, and communities affected by intimate partner violence and sexual assault. 

I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors for The Center for Women and Families, and I’m proud to support their mission. I hope you’ll join me Thursday, September 12th.
