Access to safe drinking water is a human right, but today more than 2 billion people still don’t have it. WaterStep’s mission is to fix that for every single person. It’s Kentucky ingenuity, Kentucky brainpower, and Kentucky manpower in service of all mankind.  

At WaterStep, we believe that every person deserves to reach their full potential, and that lack of access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene means missed school and work, malnutrition, sickness, and unnecessary death. We know that making safe water and disinfectant shouldn’t require a chemist or an engineer but that solutions to bring permanent change to thousands can often be expensive and hard to access. WaterStep has the answer. 

We teach people how to use salt, nearly any source of water, and a 12v power source to make safe drinking water for the long term. WaterStep’s system – training, patented technology, and innovation – is simple, sustainable, and scalable, which allows communities to affordably provide safe water and disinfectant for themselves for good.
