Jacob's Well is a safe environment where single moms and their children can find a fresh start. 

Our vision is to provide support, educational opportunities, and a safe environment for single women and their children to be restored as self-sufficient members of our society.

  Jacob's Well is more than a transitional living facility - it is an opportunity for life change. Single women and their children that are seeking to change the direction of their future can find hope here through a structured program that includes:

  • Education - to earn a GED/college degree, implement financial budgeting, and research-based parenting 
  • Counseling - to promote healing from past trauma and process through life struggles
  • Positive mentors - to add layers of support for the family
  • Life coaching/case management - to help set goals for the future
  • Family oriented programs and event
  • Collaboration with community organizations that support single mother families

Who We Are

Jacob's Well is a program in a safe and structured environment where single women in crisis can grow spiritually, gain education and develop healthy life skills. Through a Christ-centered approach we focus on the spiritual, relational and educational well being of our residents. We partner with other community organizations to provide: spiritual mentoring, educational opportunities, financial training, parenting classes and support groups. We also focus on the physical, emotional and educational development of their children. The mentor teams surround our families with positive female role models so they can experience healthy functional family life and relationships.

Our participants meet with a life coach to develop life skills, learn new coping mechanisms, promote healthy relationships and encourage self reflection. A family advocate will be on staff to assist participants with family services and an education plan--based on their interests and strengths to move them into sustainable employment.

We opened our doors in February of 2014 and have served 20 families to date. We have a current annual budget of around $125,000 per year and 95% of all donations go directly to caring for the families here at Jacobs Well.
