Highland Park Community Development Corporation

Highland Park Community Development Corporation (HPCDC) is a non-profit organization that is committed to empowering youth and families to become the best version of themselves. Our mission is to provide youth and families with safe and holistic opportunities for training and exposure that foster academic achievement, career success, leadership development, and self-sufficiency. 

HPCDC currently offers the following programs:

Highland Park Educational Leadership Program (H.E.L.P) -H.E.L.P is an afterschool hub for Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) and a regular participant of I Would Rather Be Reading. H.E.L.P also provides academic enrichment, homework assistance, SEL, and opportunities for school-aged youth (K-12th grades) to engage in community service. 

Students With Awesome Grades (SWAG) - SWAG is a mentoring program geared towards Leaders 6th-12th grades that is focused on academic achievement, college and career readiness, positive mentoring, and life skills training. 

Lady Eunoia (LE) - LE is a mentoring program intended to empower young females, especially African-American females in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their personal development. LE provides young ladies with opportunities to explore self and healthy relationships with others. 

All About Boys (AAB) - AAB is a mentoring program intended to empower young males, especially African-American males in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their personal development. AAB also provides young men with opportunities to learn the fundamentals of chess and taekwondo.

HPCDC has contributed to positive youth development and overall success for over 13 years. HPCDC has helped pour into young leaders who are now professionals, educators, entrepreneurs, nurses, and engineers. We believe our youth will continue to thrive and succeed as positive change agents of today! 

   

 

Who We Are

Highland Park Community Development Corporation (HPCDC) is an organization committed to creating leaders one by one. We offer programs that enhance educational capabilities as well as life skills. Our current programs are Students With Awesome Grades (SWAG), Highland Park Educational Leadership Program (HELP) and All About B.O.Y.S. Through these programs HPCDC has positively impacted many individuals by providing tutoring, back to school drives, summer leadership camps, mentoring, career development, and life long relationships. We also seek to build and strengthen family relationships by providing services that are needed, such as workshops and one on one parent meetings. As HPCDC strongly believes in leadership, we strive to motivate and educate our youth to become the leaders of tomorrow.
