Norton Children's Hospital Foundation

Each year, over 17,000 children receive cardiovascular care from Norton Children's Heart Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. For those children and their entire family-support networks, our pediatric cardiologists and heart surgeons provide the comprehensive care they need, from before birth to teenage years and beyond. 

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons rated Norton Children's Heart Institute among the best in the region after studying years of our patients' outcomes and our ability to treat a range of pediatric heart conditions, including the most severe. 

As the need for specialized care in cardiology continues to grow, we are embarking upon a visionary growth plan to further transform and improve pediatric cardiovascular care within our comminity and beyond.

As Kentucky and Southern Indiana's only full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital, Norton Children's Hospital, along with its predecessor hospitals, have cared for children for more than a century without regard to their families' ability to pay.  The 300-bed hospital is Louisville's only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine.  Specialists offer comprehensive pediatric care, including a full range of services for congenital and acquired heart disease, cancer care, neurosciences, spine and orthopedic care and neonatal care.

Norton Children's Hospital and its sister facilities rely on support from the community through the Norton Children's Hospital Foundation.  The foundation raises funds each year to advance programs and services through workforce development, facility enhancements, equipment and research.  More information is available at HelpNortonChildrens.com.   

Who We Are

The Children’s Hospital Foundation raises funds to support programs, equipment and facilities, research, advocacy and education for Norton Children’s Hospital, Kentucky’s only full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital; Norton Children’s Medical Center, the only pediatric outpatient center of its type in Kentucky; and pediatric services at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital in St. Matthews.
