Art Sanctuary

Art Sanctuary is held together by the hard work of a small, dedicated crew of artists, performers, and other quirky weirdos. We make everything happen with tiny budgets and lots of love, creativity, and volunteer support from our amazing community.

Give for Good is the single largest opportunity for Art Sanctuary to make money this year. Our goal is to raise $10,000 in 24 hours. 

This will go toward building 3 new bathrooms to support our ever-growing community. 

While it might not be the most glamorous project, it's a vital one. Currently, we rely on rented port-a-potties for larger events. Definitely not ideal, and doesn't align with the welcoming, inclusive environment we strive to create.

To help make it possible for artists to further their work and careers at a reasonable cost while helping to provide them with the platforms to do so.

WHAT WE DO:
Provide space where artists can work, rehearse, record, participate in classes, lectures, and exhibitions and take advantage of discussion,critique and collaboration.

Work to develop, create an integrated and vibrant artistic community in Louisville.

Cultivate a community of skilled professional artists

Consistently provide a top notch experience for events, exhibitions and open studios.

We believe in a Gestalt view of this community where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and by surrounding ourselves with excellence we further it.
