A Stroke of Grace

A Stroke of Grace is more than just an organization; it's a community built on resilience, support, and advocacy. Founded by a stroke survivor herself, A Stroke of Grace is dedicated to uplifting and empowering Black stroke survivors and their families across 18 states. Our mission is to educate and connect the Black community with stroke prevention resources, and to create a safe community of support while addressing the unique challenges faced by Black stroke survivors, their families and caregivers.  

Stroke is a leading cause of disability in the Black community, yet resources and support systems are often lacking or difficult to access. A Stroke of Grace fills this gap by offering education, advocacy, and community-building programs that promote Black excellence and health equity. Through our signature program, B.E.A.T.S. (Black Empowerment and Awareness Through Stroke education), we work tirelessly to ensure that every survivor and their loved ones have the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive beyond the stroke.
